So I have successfully avoided writing on the blog for this long but no longer. My name is Jasper and I have worked at camp for 5 summers and 3 springs. I come from a small farming community called Gem and I really enjoy the outdoors. This summer, I have been leading a program called Adventure Classic and it has been a fantastic part of this summer for me, so I am going to tell you a little bit about it. So here is a rundown of how the week works: Sunday afternoon, everyone arrives at camp. Once everyone has arrived, we drive out to the Ya Ha Tinda, where we tent for the week at Eagle Lake campground. While there, we hike out to Eagle Lake, we go white water rafting with Mukwah rafting tours , we rock climb and (if the water is not too high) go to some natural waterslides. If the water's too high for the waterslides, we hike out to Bighorn Falls. Back at the camp site we cook excellent meals, play some capture the flag, or just chill around the fire and have some ...

Name: Jasper Berg Hometown: Gem, Alberta Where we'll find him this spring & summer: the Challenge Course, 24/7. How many years he's been coming to Evergreen: 9 Three favourites: 1. Snowboarding 2. Shooting gophers. 3. Climbing. 4. Branding. Three not-so-favourites: 1. Filling out these questionnaires. 2. Telemark skiing. 3. Dark. Best camp memory: The CIT Nalgene toss. [Yes. That's an inside joke. I (Kerry) would enlighten you, but I don't know what it means either.] What he's most looking forward to this spring and/or summer: Challenging people on the Challenge Course! (We follow a Challenge by Choice philosophy here at Camp Evergreen.) He can't make it through the day without: Meat. In his opinion, the coolest thing about God is ... relationship. Jasper would also like to say, "What do you call two guys that hang above a window?" "Curt and Rod."

Ben and Jesse led Adventure Classic together last summer and claim that Adventure Classic is a camp that cements friendships for life (okay, those weren't their words, but that was their point). Anyway, I'm going to introduce them together. And, just for the fun of it, I'm adding Jasper into the mix. Jasper and Jesse were in the same program at Prairie Bible College last year. Are you ready?? (Pictures, clockwise from top left: Ben belaying Jasper on the climbing wall, Jasper in the left corner leading Yodel 'n Hum, Jasper with his tongue out, Jesse and Ben looking suspiciously sweet.) hometowns | Ben hails from Edmonton, Jesse's a California kid and Jasper is from Gem (and he is a gem, too). I searched for a video for Audio Adrenaline's classic "Jesus and the California Kid" to no avail. So we'll share "Hands and Feet" with you instead: favourite band s | Ben says, "The Beatles (lame, I know)," Jasper likes Pillar ...
