rise 'n shine // january 15-17

rise 'n shine 2010 is underway.

ten churches. 130 kids.

we started with chapel.
our speaker is brody jespersen from lethbridge;
our band is a crew from gem MB, led by kyle dyck.


then, coffee house (which was really a browniesandicecream house).
theme: famous pairs.

arlen and jackson interpret the sedin twins while nathan and graham bring us spock and kirk.

rachel and trina are salty; eric and chelsey are a pair of runners (get it? get it?); aimee and jyle are mario and luigi.

cheese & crackers from southwood united (crazed expressions seemed to be a key feature of the evening -- see the sundin twins for further proof).

how many balloons can you stuff in YOUR longjohns?

Jug 'n' Jog. If the world could just play more Jug 'n' Jog - I think it would be a happier place. It is quite possibly the number one, most singularly enjoyed game at camp. In fact - there are times when I think kids could come to camp, only play Jug 'n' Jog and leave being the happiest kids on Earth. In fact, we could almost be renamed Camp Jug 'n' Jog. winter is here

wow. it's definetely winter here. what is it? like -30 or something ridiculous like that. brutal! koda says merry christmas and stay warm! this is going to be short because i really, really want to stress how important it is to get ALL your families out here for December 9th! It's called An Evergreen Christmas and it starts at 1pm and goes until about 7pm. There's sleigh rides (as long as we have snow), cookie decorating, a few crafts, skating, fellowship, some ponyrides, hot chocolate, and a hot dog roast at 5:30pm. please phone the camp's main office (found on the camp's main site) to tell us that you're coming! see you there! cort
