aaand, we're back

You're all so patient! We've neglected the green spot for an unforgivably long time, but we're back. For today, I'm just going to give you a quick rundown on some of the big events in the last couple of months.

Rise 'n Shine (Junior High Retreat) was waaay back in January and it was super! We had 140 students and sponsors out (Were you one of them? Post a comment and tell us what you thought!), which is a record number for Rise 'n Shine. We played Jug 'n Jog in the snow, sang our hearts out (thank you, Dalhousie Community Church!), heard from God's Word (thanks to Jonathan Klein) and to top it all off? We had the perfect Saturday night for Bible Smugglers. Not too cold and totally still (but, of course, for the creeping of smugglers and the cackling of guards!).

Courtney and Kerry spent a whole lot of January on the road, visiting Prairie Bible College (elisaemiliejasperjessejoelandnick!), Briercrest Bible College (garrettandhelen!), Bethany Bible College (aaroncelestejanellejuliaandkerrianne!), Millar College of the Bible (kyleandlynnae!), Trinity Western University (janessa!) and my alma mater, Columbia Bible College (jenny!). It was quite the trip, but the only photographic evidence I collected was at Prairie (see below). It was great fun to connect with staff from years gone by (noted above), many of whom will be returning for summer 2009 (hurrah!) and it was exciting to meet students who are contemplating a spring and summer at camp this year (apply for a job at Evergreen here!)

On site, everyone has been working their tails off getting ready for summer! We're building new bunks, making inventories to finish so we have everything we need for skills, painting lodge rooms, processing registrations, confirming speakers, hiring staff and so, so, so much more! It's going to be super fantastic exciting crazy fun summer. Are YOU going to be at Evergreen for summer 2009?

IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING, I was counting days! Bible Smugglers was way better then the one over the summer or last year at the jr high retreat!
