An Open Letter to the Friends of Evergreen
Hello,
I am writing this letter to the current generation, both young and old, those who have been positively impacted in some way by the ministry of Camp Evergreen.
My name is Andrew Baerg and I am currently chair of the board at Camp Evergreen.
Camp Evergreen was founded in 1963 by a generation who saw a need - to raise up disciples of Jesus among our youth across Alberta. It was expanded in the 1980s by a generation who wanted to see the camp reach even more Alberta children with the Gospel of Christ.
It is now our turn, this current generation, to ensure Camp Evergreen thrives at making disciples of Jesus among our youth, now and for the next generation, and to expand the ministry once again.
I am inviting anyone who wants to learn more about the vision, or has a desire to see our generation step up and own this responsibility, to attend a meet-up in Calgary next Wednesday, May 18, at 8pm. Location TBA. Please RSVP to andrew.baerg@gmail.com so that I can arrange a suitable location.
Please forward this letter to as many of your friends and family as possible. Do you know someone who was a staff member? a grandparent of a camper? This is an open letter and can be posted on facebook or anywhere on the internet. I need your help to spread the word. You can link to this letter at http://baerg.ca/open-letter-friends-camp-evergreen-may-12-2016.html
I would like to lead meet-ups in other locations across Alberta, please let me know if you can gather a group in your town or city. I am also available for one-on-one meetings.
Past generations have proven that we can do this if we do it together!
In Christ,
