Rise Up is Coming Soon!!


We love fall around here. The changing leaves and the way the air is so crispy in the mornings. Yes - it's a haunting reminder that winter is coming but that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

One of the things that fall means is Rise Up. It's our High School Retreat. It's so much fun and a great reminder of camp...which fades so quickly from our minds when school starts. So the most perfect way to solve that is to come to Rise Up! A perfectly packed weekend of fun, games, evening programming, and chapels.

So if you're thinking to yourself - oh boy, I really, like, REALLY miss camp. Pack your bags because it's going to be a great weekend you won't want to miss! This retreat isn't just for youth groups! If you're a student enter grades 9-12 and you want to come...give us call and get registered! We'd love, love, LOVE to have you!

hey evergreeners, here's a bit of what's going on this week. we've got ignite II happenin' right now and it's totally awesome. but that also means that there's only 1 week of camp left. THAT'S CRAZY!! totally crazy. but we've had some truly awesome things going on like we had Sheree Plett and Eisenhauer who were awesome and rocked our socks off for coffee house. check them out and buy their music - it was totally sweet. we had floats and it was cool. anyways, i totally just wanted to leave reminders why camp is so darn fun. talk to you soon, c-bear

brrrrrr - c-bear hates winter

well the temperature doesn't look like it's going up anymore. i think that we have one day this next week that is double digits. YUCK. i am not looking forward to dealing with icy roads and snow. i just like to think about the YA HA TINDA (which is where we do our Adventure Camps - see the picture above...that's Big Horn Creek). i love the green grass and even drip drip drop. drip drip drop would not be a very good idea in the winter...no - definitely not a good idea. but i guess that there are always things that you can't do in the summer. so why don't you help me in listing things that you would love to do in the winter that you can't do (or atleast not very well) in the summer. here's a couple examples: 1. tobogganing sucks in the summer 2. although i've never tried it, i hear that ice skating outside doesn't work very well so...let's poo poo summer a bit (maybe that will make me feel better about winter)...i look...

thanks for stopping by. this is a new thing for us so bear with us as we figure out technology. basically we started this blog to create a place where all of our friends can come visit us 24/7/365. and by friends i mean you...yeah you...campers, kids who visit us from schools, church groups, retreaters...and anybody you might haul along for the ride. we'll keep you informed as to what's on the dL as far as programming goes and what the happenings are at camp...and maybe some funny stories to go along with those. please check out Camp Evergreen's main site for any contact information. well - i've gotta get and start prepping for our sr. high retreat this next weekend (sept. 15-17th). until next time this is courtney (aka c-bear...aka cort) signing out. stay strong in his grip.
