snow snow snow

i really have to say that i dislike snow. but i'm sure you've all heard that song before. it's cort reporting here. i'll try and get steph and maybe a couple of the other staff to update so that you can get to know more than just me. it's currently snowing. i'm looking out of the program window ( i have to look over and beyone this weird plant in my office that sits ontop of my computer tower...i can't seem to figure out if it's dying or thriving...). the snow is really light and wispy (as much as snow can be wispy) but the really beautiful thing is that the trees are all coated with this thick blanket of snow. they seem to droop with the weight of it all. and even if it's not actually quiet...it seems that way. silent...maybe even peaceful.

i hope that you're all doing well. life is starting to pick up again here. retreats are the flavour of the season. we have a ladies retreat on feb. 9-11 (tell you mom), a family camp on feb. 16-19 (get your WHOLE FAMILY OUT HERE) because there's gonna be skating, tobogganning, sleigh rides, climbing wall, horses...), and then there's like 4 more retreats between the end of march and the end of april. and then...summer camp. wow - it's only 5 months away. that's crazy.

and if you happen to be wanting to work here in the summer. get your butt in gear because we're currently accepting applications for all positions.

anyways, i'm outta here for now. today's picture is of the fireworks on saturday night of Rise 'n' Shine. peace out my little evergreeners.

I would like to thank, on behalf of the band, program, the vollenteers, and of course the kids for coming out to the rise 'n' shine. the herbs had an absolute blast and the kids were pretty enthusiastic. i would also like to thank Nathan again for speaking that weekend.

God bless

Alyssa,

it's no good to hate your teacher. she's got a pretty tough job teaching all day long. it's a big responsibility. try encouraging her tomorrow...saying something nice or bring her a chocolate bar or something. i bet you'll make her day.
