Can you say Wow!

Well here we are on day three of the MDS missions trip to camp!  Every time we turn around another wall is up.  Vaux-Hollow started off today with no trusses and as you can see by the end of the day we had over half the roof sheeted with plywood.  Tin for the roof has been ordered and we're optimistic that sometime in week four some of our cabins will have a roof for winter!

Crestwood has three walls up and the fourth one is ready to stand up tomorrow morning.  I'm sure that by Thursday afternoon we'll be lifting trusses again.


Linden has three walls up.  The MDS team from week one has secretly set a goal to have trusses and the roof sheeted on all three cabins by the end of Friday.  At this rate they will be very close, if not there.


It is a real blessing to see families serving together helping us do what we do best, reaching campers for Christ! 

We would like to send out a big challenge to our support in Alberta and beyond to help us get these cabins built as far as we can with MDS.  We've all heard the phrase, "make hay while the sun shines!"  Well the sun is shining here at Evergreen for the next 3 1/2 weeks.  Consider donating to our Cabin Fever fund.

Jug 'n' Jog. If the world could just play more Jug 'n' Jog - I think it would be a happier place. It is quite possibly the number one, most singularly enjoyed game at camp. summer is here

hey camp evergreen! sorry that it's been so long since i've written. camp has starting and time has just been flying. we've all ready had a family camp, trail blazer I camp and we're just finishing our first sparky/explorer camp. it's been a great start to the summer. forgive me if my updates are few and far between this summer as things keep busy here at camp. i will try to do what i can to post some pictures of what's been up here at camp. kids are coming to know Jesus Christ our Lord and their personal savior and learning tons about God. thanks for sticking with me. in the meantime here's a picture of our wrangling team for the summer. happy trails wherever you are! c-bear
