The most clever title ever
Hello everyone it's time to update the blog about 'stuff' 'things' and.... ummm....'the like'
I am excited to update this blog it is one of my favorite things to do. Well without any more introduction here we go, apologies for the lack of proper grammar and spelling
STUFF:
Life is busy here at camp, many children come and go. At times our camp is full of children running around. The field games are incredible to watch with so many smiling, frolicking children We teach them stuff about nature, horses, crafts and climbing (to name a few) and then we do it all over again. More kids come sometimes even before the first ones leave It is just over half way through our spring and some of the us are pretty tired. I continue to learn about relying on God's strength and not my own. God says to 'come all you weary, and find rest for your souls.' We can trade burdens and his is easy and light.
It has been raining allot and we are all wet and the boot rooms are muddy. We and the kids still have fun. They climb run, jump and go home with smiles are their faces remembering the time that they jumped in mud puddles or slid across the grass into the 'safe zone'. Then the sun shines and we laugh, mop the boot rooms, and run with the children through the woods.
Here is a picture of our Kayla
explaining a game to a group of grade six children. Also pictured is Pip our friend from New Zealand.
Her and Don (her husband) are only with us for a few more days and we are sad to see them leave. Pip doesn't look very happy with me for taking this picture but in real life she full of energy and always has a smile on her face.
THINGS:
We are getting things done slowly but surely, summer plans are going well, materials needed are slowly being purchased. We are still looking for a couple key positions such as the chapel co-coordinator and the out trips co-coordinator, but are trusting that God will provide the right
person(s) for the jobs.
UMMM...THE LIKE:
We are so excited about this spring and summer. God has provided a great bunch of people for the spring and even more great people are coming in the summer. Some are young but they all have passions and desires and are ready to serve God, at camp this summer. You can continue to pray for us here that we would rely on God's strength and persevere and finish our spring strong. Pray that God would bring people to fill the positions we need. And lastly praise Him for His goodness, faithfulness, and the wonders he has done.. It is those wonders that we will tell the next generation about.
God is still doing a 'new thing' around here; new people new activities, new mindsets about ministry. It's incredible to see.
That's all I have for now, will write again soon. I'll sign off with saying that He who began a good work around here will be faithful to complete it.
