Snug 'n' Snog 2006


that's my new name for jug 'n' jog in the snow. we had rise up 2006 this last weekend and i think it was a great success. boy it was great to have seth back here. he's an awesome guy and on top of it all he brought canada up with him (whose actual name is craig). it was amazing. saturday night worship was really special to me.

Here's some pictures of snug 'n' snog... I was very impressed with the snowman/peguin making by Dalhousie and Highland respectively. props to all the kids who toughed out the weekend and never complained about the weather. I think it would have been really easy to hide inside all weekend and not be active. snug 'n' snog was so much fun...it honestly felt like everybody was running in slow motion...except koda.

now that the weekend is over - the snow is melting and the weather is getting a bit better. We're busy, busy, busy until about Oct. 9th...or something like that. It seems like it's a little insane but God will carry us...He always does.

Thanks soo much Evergreen! Our kids had an awesome time, we had an intense conversation all the way home (despite the extreme tiredness...) Seth and Canada brought up a lot of great points, and some good questions to mull over. We appreciate your time and effort in ministry!

Keep Calm and Play Jug 'n' Jog

Jug 'n' Jog. If the world could just play more Jug 'n' Jog - I think it would be a happier place. It is quite possibly the number one, most singularly enjoyed game at camp. In fact - there are times when I think kids could come to camp, only play Jug 'n' Jog and leave being the happiest kids on Earth. In fact, we could almost be renamed Camp Jug 'n' Jog. And it's also funny - my computer or iPhone doesn't even recognize the words or phrase as being a spell check. That's when you know you talk about something a lot. You might think that those opening statements are strange or even foreign - maybe you don't even know what Jug 'n' Jog is...well, let me tell you! It's epic, it's fantastic, and it's played with recycling (we have to be good stewards, you know). The concept is quite simple - the field is divided into two halves, each team has a square on it with recycled jugs in it. The goal is to get the other team...

winter is here

wow. it's definetely winter here. what is it? like -30 or something ridiculous like that. brutal! koda says merry christmas and stay warm! this is going to be short because i really, really want to stress how important it is to get ALL your families out here for December 9th! It's called An Evergreen Christmas and it starts at 1pm and goes until about 7pm. There's sleigh rides (as long as we have snow), cookie decorating, a few crafts, skating, fellowship, some ponyrides, hot chocolate, and a hot dog roast at 5:30pm. please phone the camp's main office (found on the camp's main site) to tell us that you're coming! see you there! cort
